Read Maeve’s Book of Beasts Free

Starting today, Maeve’s Book of Beasts is a free read for followers at Ream. This introduction to the world of DragonFate is being serialized – followers will be able to read one chapter per week (each Friday) starting today.

Careful what you wish for…
A mysterious book given to Sylvia by a handsome stranger plunges her into a hidden world, awakening her ability to see a paranormal realm and the Others who live in it. The stranger, Sebastian, becomes Sylvia’s reluctant defender—but his ability to influence her dreams is almost as dangerous as the fact that he’s a vampire. On the run with Sebastian, Sylvia learns about the plan of Maeve, Queen of the Dark Fae, to eliminate all other paranormal creatures. Possession of the book means that Sylvia is caught in the middle of a war between the Dark Fae and the Others, with a predator as her only ally. If she can decipher the book, will that help the Others to fight for their survival? Should she trust Sebastian? Or does the vampire who ignores all the rules have a secret plan of his own?

Maeve’s Book of Beasts introduces the world of DragonFate and its characters. You can continue the series and read the stories of the Pyr and their fated mates as they battle the Dark Queen. (Next up is Dragon’s Kiss, which is Kristofer and Bree’s story.) You can also read the serialized spin-off stories: A Spell of Blood & Angelfire is Sebastian and Sylvia’s romance and will launch in 2024. Deadly Beauty is the planned serialization of Mel and Theo’s story, though it has no launch date as yet.

Sebastian insisted on having his story told on its own. 🙂

A Dragonfire Book Box at Ream

A Year of Dragonfire HC book club by Deborah Cooke at Ream

In addition to the Year of Dragonfire digital Book Club, each quarter, I’ll offer a book box via Ream. For the first year, this will feature hard cover editions of the Dragonfire Novels. Each quarter, we’ll feature one omnibus edition or the three individual hardcovers of the included books. You’ll be able to sign up for the book box for a specified interval – this one will be three weeks in November – then you’ll be billed three times. These books will ship in the new year. It’s like an installment plan for the special editions, plus you’ll get your books signed and with goodies. These bundles won’t have as many goodies as the Kickstarter editions, just FYI, but will offer a second chance for readers to get the signed editions.

The first book box gives you a choice of Kiss of Fire, Kiss of Fury and Kiss of Fate in individual signed hardcover editions OR the Dragonfire Quest omnibus which includes those three books.

A Year of Dragonfire Book Club Launches Today

I’m launching a book club that features my Dragonfire Novels!

A Year of Dragonfire Book Club by Deborah Cooke at Ream

For one year, subscribers to A Year of Dragonfire Book Club will receive my Dragonfire Novel paranormal romances in sequence and in installments. This will include Kiss of Fury, Kiss of Fate, Winter Kiss, Harmonia’s Kiss, Whisper Kiss, Darkfire Kiss, Flashfire, Ember’s Kiss, Kiss of Danger, Kiss of Darkness, Kiss of Destiny, Serpent’s Kiss and Firestorm Forever.

Each week, subscribers will receive four installments—one each on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Each installment will be a chapter. Most are about 5000 words. (I had to double up a few short ones to have the right number of installments for the year.)

Subscribers will also have access to a community forum to discuss the books and the Pyr, and also be able to reference the character lists and glossary from Here Be Dragons.
