I write historical romance as Claire Delacroix. Those books live on my Claire Delacroix website.
There are series pages on this site, with all the books in the series displayed. Each book is linked to the landing page on my Claire Delacroix website.
In terms of reading order, you can read each series before beginning the next one. They’re listed here in the order they were written and published. (The series set at Ravensmuir are listed in order, too.)
There’s also a link here for the landing page on the Delacroix site with my historical romance boxed sets. The series-based boxed sets live on the appropriate series pages: these are trope-based or first-in-series bundles that include a combination of books from different series.
To keep up to date on my Claire Delacroix releases, please subscribe to my Knights & Rogues newsletter.
Hello I love medieval romances. I bought several of your sets, reading through the reviews I saw that several of your sets are linked. I would very much like to read them in order which set should I start with?
Thank you

Hi Irma. Thanks for buying some of my books!
If you look on the menu bar here, under Claire Delacroix, you can see all of my linked series and what order they should be read in. They’re listed on the menu in the order I wrote them, as well. There are also some differences between them – The Rogues of Ravensmuir series is more Gothic, for example, while the Jewels of Kinfairlie series is lighter. Different readers start in different places.
I hope that helps!

Hello,
I am in the process of reading your Bride’s Quest series and have enjoyed it so much that I went out and bought up several of your other books as well. I am going to be purchasing your True Love series soon but was hoping to get a better idea of when The Frost Maiden’s Kiss was going to become available. I read a post somewhere where it said June of 2014 and another place where it said that it wasn’t going to be available until August of 2014. Could you please post more information on this? I look forward to reading this series too!

Hi Jalene –
Glad to hear that you’re enjoying my medievals! My original plan was to publish The Frost Maiden’s Kiss in June, but I’ve realized with Serpent’s Kiss that there needs to be a little more time before publication to get all the pieces in place. So, the revised plan is an August release. Hope that helps.

Hi Juliet – I’m just working out my new schedule. I learned a lot with Thorolf’s book, mostly that I need to leave a bit more time. I’ll post an update next week on the True Love Brides. 🙂

I believe that I own most of your books in e-format. However, i would love to have in them paperback form. Not very many are available on Amazon and I can’t find them in the stores in our area. Is there a place that I could purchase them?

Hi Cat – My Delacroix books fall into two groups, which affects their availability in print.
The first group are still contracted with publishers, so I have no control over the print editions and their availability. Of those, the first Bride Quest is with Dell and you should be able to find or order a mass market edition of any of those three books in any bookstore. The Berkley trade paperback anthologies (To Weave a Web and The Queen in Winter) are the same. The Harlequin titles are still contracted with publishers, but they don’t keep books in print anywhere. Used bookstores are the best bet for finding those, but it’s a bit of a treasure hunt by this point in time – some titles were printed 20 years ago!
The second group are the books that have reverted to my control. This is pretty much everything else. I make all of them available in print-on-demand (POD) trade paperback editions, which is pretty much the only option available to me. They’re lovely, but they do run about $15 each, because the production costs are higher. Bricks and mortar bookstores tend not to stock POD books, because POD printers don’t accept returns like traditional publishers do. So, these editions need to be purchased online – Amazon, B&N and the Book Depository list my POD books on their sites, although they can sometimes also be ordered through Books A Million and other online portals. The alternative is to find used mass market copies from the original publication – back to those used bookstores.
(BTW, if you’re looking at ordering POD editions, wait a couple of weeks. I’m in the midst of changing them all over to matte paper covers (instead of glossy) which I think looks nicer. Beguiled is the first that I did that way, and The Frost Maiden’s Kiss will be the same. I have to work backwards to change the others, too, which will probably take me a month or so, given everything else on my desk.)
The final option is to buy them from me, either at a booksigning at a conference, or through the mail. I have a page on the site about that – it’s right here. I hope that helps!

It does!! Thanks!!!

Good, Cat.
Oh, and all the new titles will be POD and digital only, so the only sources will be me 🙂 and online portals.
If lightning strikes and someone wants to print and distribute editions of them, I’ll let you all know!

Hi to start with I would like to say that I am a fan. I love the way you write and make me feel like I could be right inside.
I’m hoping you can help me with a book I’ve been searching for. I’ve been hunting for over 2yrs now. My oldest sister lent it to me. But lost all her books in a flood. We can’t remember who wrote it. My hope is you may have.
It takes place in the highlands. The girl is half fae who was rasied by her grandfather. She has until her next birthday to find a treasure. The treasure was stolen and hiden from the fae and if not found she must live with the fae. The grandfather has some pact with the fae and was given a gift that allows him to make the best kilts and to make them quickly.
The guy is a geologist i believe. He got his grandmothers home but on the condition of finishing a book about fae that she was writing. The house was haunted by a banchee. He might also of been a soldier or something. I think he had a limp or something wrong with his leg. I’m not fully sure it’s been at least 4 or more years since I’ve read it.
Thank you and I’m hoping this is one of yours. If not thank you anyway. I do apologize but I’m desperate to try to find it by Christmas.

Hi Keeley – Sorry, that’s not one of my books, and I don’t recognize the story. There must be a group somewhere to help find books like this – on Goodreads maybe? Good luck!

I just finished the Jewels of Kinfairlie and True love Brides series. Absolutely loved them!! I’m getting ready to read the Rogues series but really would like to read about Ross. Seems a shame that he is the only sibling that doesn’t have a story.

Hi Katie –
Glad you’ve enjoyed the series. Ross’s story will be part of a new series set at Inverfyre. I talked about that in the reader letter for The Warrior’s Prize. You can read that here.
Thanks for reading my books!

Not sure yet, Leslie. I’m hoping for a Christmas story, but it depends how quickly the Champions of St. Euphemia leap on to the page. 🙂 Stay tuned!

Hi, Amazon was Highland Heroes: Three Scottish Medieval Romances sounds really good but are the from three different series??? I like reading in order. Please let me know What to read first? Thanks, Robin

Hi Robin – Yes, the three books are from different series. The Rose Red Bride is #2 in the Jewels of Kinfairlie series, The Beauty is #2 in The Bride Quest II trilogy and The Warrior is #3 in The Rogues of Ravensmuir series.
If you like to start at the beginning, you might prefer the Kinfairlie Knights boxed set, which includes the first book in the Rogues of Ravensmuir series, the first book in the Jewels of Kinfairlie series and the first book in the True Love Brides series. These three series are all linked to each other, too.

Hi Xaverie – That’s from Roarke’s Folly, one of my books that Harlequin Historicals published. It’s no longer available for sale and was never available in a digital edition. I think your best bet might be to find a used print copy. There are usually print copies of my older books available at used book stores, like ABE. Here’s a search there that shows copies for $1 each. Good luck with your hunt!

Greetings,
I am a kindle unlimited member and I contacted you earlier this month about a problem I’m having with the download of “Crusader’s Kiss.” The issue is that when the book is downloaded, the text for this book is “Crusader’s Bride” . You kindly responded that another reader had contacted you before me and if I return the book and re-download, it should be fixed. After your I followed your suggestion, the book still opens with text for “Crusader’s Bride” when it should be “Crusader’s Kiss.” When I saw that this problem was not fixed, I promptly called kindle support. After a lengthy 45 minute phone call with “Angelia” of kindle, she said she would refer this issue to the content team and see about removing this book from Kindle unlimited temporarily until straitened out. Nothing has happened. I spent the rest of the month downloading/returning/redownloading “Crusader’s Kiss.” After doing this again today after deleting and reinstalling the kindle app that I use to read, the text is still for “Crusader’s Bride” when it should be “Crusader’s Kiss.” Can you please give kindle a kick in the seat to straighten this out?

Hello Andrea – The correct file is there. Amazon told me that they would deliver the updated book file to all customers who had purchased the book and all new customers, but that KU subscribers would have to contact Amazon support to get the updated file. There’s not much else I can do. Please contact Amazon support. The other readers who have done this have received the correct file.
