This fall, I’ve decided to stop sending my email newsletters. That includes Dragons & Angels for my PNR, Heroes & Happy Endings for my contemporary romances and Knights & Rogues for my historical romances.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but open rates have been plummeting and clicks are dropping, too. The newsletter has ceased to be an effective way to reach readers, probably because we all get so many emails. I know I delete batches of them unread every morning.

My billing cycle at the newsletter service provider renews mid-month, so I’ll send to all my lists in October for the last time.

This means a couple of things going forward. First, if you want to remain informed about my books and news, you’ll have to do that another way. 🙂 You can follow my blog here on the site, or you can follow me at other social media.

The blog also posts automatically to my Facebook page, although you may find that FB doesn’t show you posts from the pages you follow as much anymore. I’m cutting back on Facebook as well, though am quite liking Instagram these days. (Find me on Instagram right here.) I’ve also signed up for Gander, though I’m still finding my way around there. You can, of course, also follow me at Amazon or BookBub for new release alerts.

For sales and other news, you’ll have to follow the blog.

This also means that I won’t be participating in multi-author promotions like Stuff your e-Reader events anymore, as authors have to have a newsletter in order to do so. I figure I’ve sent enough free books out into the world that way to do me, at least for now. There will be one last free book event I’ll share on October 27. I’m doing that one mostly to share the new cover for Just One Fake Date, which will be updated on the ebooks by then. (The new print editions ship November 9.)

I have a couple more updates for you tomorrow. Times are changing, and habits need to shift to reflect that.

The really fun news is that since I made these decisions, I’ve been writing more. I’d much rather write books and I have a lot of stories waiting to be told. Thank you for reading my books!
