My Kickstarter campaign for new special editions of Kiss of Enchantment and Kiss of Twilight has launched and funded. YAY! Both books are available in this campaign in ebook, trade paperback and hardcover (with dust jacket) with the gorgeous new covers by Aaricia at Malice & Mayhem designs.
I’ve shown you the books before, but there are a few additions to the campaign.
All backers receive the digital swag associated with the campaign. That includes downloads of the two color character illustrations by Kit Fox and the coloring pages of those images to print and color, a download of the bookmark to print at home, and the ebook The Darkfire Primer, which is all about the magic of darkfire throughout my Dragonfire Novels. The Darkfire Primer will have a much better cover than this, btw, but I’m in the designer’s queue.
Backers of the signed hardcovers will also get some additional shiny swag for their hoard. This includes the Darkfire Chronicles bookmark, which will have silver foil on both sides, a pair of postcards with silver foil on one side and Kit Fox’s illustration in color on the other side, and a pair of silver foil 4″ stickers.
I made another change after the launch: I had included the ebook of Kiss of Twilight in all of the tiers, but – by request – there are now two new tiers that include just the hardcover editions. You can choose either Kiss of Twilight in hardcover with the digital swag, or both hardcovers with the digital swag. If the ebook or shiny print swag aren’t your thing, you have that option now.
And I added a digital tier with all of my dragon ebooks. 33 stories in all! I was tempted to call it Burn Up Your E-Reader. LOL
Everyone who backs an edition of Kiss of Twilight in any format has the opportunity to have their name included in the acknowledgements of the book.
The top tier, which is limited to ten rewards, includes vellum pages of Kit Fox’s illustrations, a metal beaded bookmark and a dragon crystal pendant. Seven of those ten have been chosen already and I expect them all to go.
Finally, there’s a very limited tier which includes a knitted dragon, made by me. Above is my dragon, Cedric, who sits on the bookshelf in my office. In my last campaign, I sent Cedric’s shelf-mate to the first backer to choose the hardcover reward as a thank-you. This gave Cedric ideas… As a result, there will be nine little dragons, each in its own tier, in this campaign. Since the dragons are one-of-a-kind, I’m posting each one as I have it finished enough to show its head and colours. The first one was burgundy and is already gone.
There will also be a tenth dragon, as a thank-you for the backer of hard cover editions with the highest overall pledge.

Kiss of Twilight is, of course, available for pre-order at the portals for August 2026 delivery. The retail edition has Ashe on the cover – the copy is going to change, but you can find the links here.
The hardcover editions currently at Kickstarter will only be available there (in this campaign or future dragon-y campaigns) or directly from me at events. The ebook with the illustrated cover will only be available at Kickstarter or in my online store. The trade paperback with the illustrated cover will go into retail distribution – Kiss of Enchantment in this edition will be available for pre-order at the portals by the end of the year, with an August 2026 delivery.
