Could you tell that a lot of authors have November deadlines? Many of my potential guests want to come next month and I’ve been working away myself. The writing is getting done, which is a good thing.
Plus a very exciting thing happened this week. As you know, LOVE POTION #9 is available in digital format. It’s the only one of my books that is still out there with one of my covers on it. I did covers myself for the time travels initially, then upgraded them to professional ones. The problem with commissioning a cover for LP9 was that I didn’t think the style of covers we used for the other two time travels fit the story. I realized that the big issue was that I just loved the original cover so much that there could be no other contenders.
On a whim, I contacted the cover artist, Judy York, and asked if she had the rights to the image. It turned out that she did 🙂 but that her prices are out of my range. 😦 We talked a bit and she decided to make a deal with me because she loves the image too. So, with many many thanks to Judy, I’ll be republishing LOVE POTION #9 with a new cover.
I feel like my karma ship came in!
Judy did the art for most of my Harlequin Historicals. The exceptions are HONEYED LIES, which was done by Jon Paul, and THE MAGICIAN’S QUEST and ENCHANTED which were both done by Pino. The rest are by Judy. If you look at her site and click through on Fantasy, you’ll find the original art for UNICORN BRIDE on the sixth page of images.
I’ll show you the new cover as soon as I get a final image. Happy day!
Edited to add – Here it is!
