Today, over at the TPL blog, we have a guest blog post from Dr. Nancy Down, Head Librarian at the Ray and Pat Browne Library for Popular Culture Studies at Bowling Green State University. She’ll be discussing how romance novels echo popular culture.
Unfortunately, I’m in transit today and might not be able to log on. I’d appreciate everyone making her feel welcome, and asking lots of questions!

Deborah it was really nice meeting you at the conference and chatting about Toronto. As a Detroiter I’d visit my family in Toronto frequently and loved the city.
Thank you for the wonderful speech. You mentioned how the conference was inspirational and listening to you gave me inspiration. I’m going to start another book to meet Cherry’s challenge for next year. Hope to see you at next year’s conference or catch you in Toronto.

Hi Karin –
Thanks for stopping by! I had a wonderful time at the Seattle conference, and was so inspired by Cherry Adair and her challenge. There were sparks in the air.
I’ll be going to RWA National in Nashville next July. Maybe I’ll see you there. When you’re coming up to Toronto, you can also check the Booksignings and Workshops page here on the blog to see whether I have anything booked at the same time.
In the meantime, keep writing – get that book done for Cherry’s challenge!
