Trick or TREAT?

If it’s Halloween – and it is – we have to have a contest.

KISS OF FIRE is the first book in my new trilogy featuring dragon shape shifter heroes. These are contemporary fantasy romances with a bit of a dark twist. Click HERE for the back cover copy and all that good stuff.

What’s not to love about this cover?

What’s not to love about winning a free copy and getting to read it early?

With spectacular timing, NAL has prepared Advance Reading Copies of KISS OF FIRE and I have them in my hot little hands right now.

KISS OF FIRE will available for sale on February 5, 2008, but you can win an ARC right now. All you have to do is comment on this post and tell me why you should win. Make sure you type your email addy correctly!

(Of course, it’s also available for pre-order already at Amazon.com, if you don’t win.)

I’ll pick a winner at midnight tonight. Good luck!

  1. We have to convince you we deserve to win a copy? It’s not enough that I’ve been cyber-stalking you everywhere hoping to win an ARC because I don’t want to wait until February? :sigh:

  2. Well, that sounds like a pretty compelling reason for you to win to me!

Let’s see what everyone else says…

  3. I think I should win the ARC because 1) I got married on the 4th. 2) My husband is in Kuwait now. 3) I had to have my 20 year old cat put to sleep on the 22nd.
    Thanks.

  4. I should win because I live only 15 miles from Ann Arbor, and I want to have all the clues I need to keep my eyes out for a hunky blacksmith!
Or maybe his brother (if my husband doesn’t mind. After all the yarn I brought to the house, what does one more hunky blacksmith matter?)

That cover is divine, Claire. It’s been staring at me since Nationals.

Now counting down the days until that book comes home from the store. 😉

  6. Because I’ve had a Halloween curse laid upon my soul and the only way it can be lifted is to win Kiss of Fire.

Because I have a severe weakness for dragons…having been born on the year of the monkey I have a great affinity for them and my sign is the only one who can fool a dragon.

  9. ooo, Sybil put the contest up over at the Good, the Bad and the Unread as well. Two chances to win today.

And Mel, big BIG ((HUGS)) to you. You need more than a book. You need chocolate and your husband back home again ASAP.

Diana, there’s already one of my copies with your name on it, for your help in getting the local details straight. 🙂

  10. OK – I think I should win because I’m going through a tough time right now & I need every little pick me up I could possibly get & your book looks like a perfect one. I lost my job in June so I can’t support my book habit as well as I used to & I’m going through withdrawal. Unemployment just doesn’t cut it. My husband left me in August so I’m in dire need of some romance in my life – even if it’s the fiction kind – works good enough for me.

  13. The best I can do is admit I’ve never read any of your books and once I find a new author I like they usually become my autobuys (not quite begging but more like a bribe hahahaha – okay maybe just extra incentive). I did want to say how gorgeous the cover is and I’d love to have it displayed for all to see.

  14. Your book looks esceptional. Would love to read it as I am interested in shape shifters, time travel and this is special.

  15. There are several good reasons posted, and I certainly can’t match a husband overseas and having to put a pet down, but I still want to put my hat in the ring. I have a cat that is 18, but seems to keep going like the Energizer bunny, and my husband was Vietnam era marine, so I can at least empathize a little!

  16. Claire,

I cannot wait to read your new shapeshifter series! I love the idea of dragon shapeshifters instead of the usual wolves…very creative and dragons are so mythical! I agree the cover is gorgeous! Happy Halloween!
