2022 Reading Guide

I’ve updated my free reading guide and the new edition is available for download! I missed the update last year, so there were a lot of changes.

Since 2016, I’ve been publishing a reader guide as a free download. This little volume is thick with links. There are links to product pages as well as links to other content on my site that you might have missed—an out-take scene, family trees to download, audio samples, and swag. There are also suggestions for reading order, beyond the series order.

I change the cover each year when it’s updated so you know which version you have. The newest one for 2022 is pink, as at left.

You can download the Reading Guide free at:

BookFunnel is a good option if Amazon doesn’t offer the guide free in your territory.

Next, I have to update the downloadable PDF checklists of my books…that hasn’t been done since 2020 either.

Downloadable Booklists

Inspired by an article I saw online, I’ve been creating some booklists for you. These are PDF files that you can download and print out to keep track of which books you’ve read and which ones you want to read. They also list each of my series in reading order.

Here’s a screenshot of the top of the Delacroix list, so you can see what they’re like:

Editions with a red dot are no longer available. Editions with a green dot are available. There’s a list at the end of the abbreviations used for print editions.

Each list “lives” on my appropriate sub-genre website, so the second link will take you to Delacroix.net.

In the Midnight Hour Sample

In the Midnight Hour, book #3 of the Flatiron Five series of contemporary romances by Deborah CookeI’ve updated the free downloadable sample from In the Midnight Hour in my online store. It’s now two complete chapters, which gives you a much better introduction to Haley and Damon. It’s also available in the iBookstore.

You can download the MOBI here and the EPUB here.

Remember also that the Flatiron Five series has a dedicated newsletter. When you subscribe, you’ll receive a sequence of emails bringing you up to date on the series so far. This newsletter is separate from my monthly newsletter, Knights Dragons and Heroes. You can belong to either or both.

You can subscribe to the Flatiron Five newsletter right here.

The Crusader’s Vow Excerpt

The Crusader's Vow by Claire Delacroix, book #4 in the Champions of Saint Euphemia series of medieval romances. There’s a free downloadable excerpt from The Crusader’s Vow in my online store. It’s longer than the one posted here on the site.

Returning home to Scotland triumphant after his military service, and entrusted with the precious relic of the Templars, Fergus is more than ready to wed his beloved Isobel and begin their life together. To his dismay, Isobel has wed another in his absence, and he believes all of merit is stolen from his life—until Leila resolves to win the valiant highlander’s heart for her own. She is convinced of her own success, until Isobel tempts Fergus anew.

New Reader Guide

Reader Guide 2016 EditionThere’s a new trend for Reader Guides, or Reading Order Guides, particularly at Amazon. These little downloads provide a list of an author’s books, with the reading order of series included, as well as suggestions of where to start reading. Since the most common query that brings people to my website is “Dragonfire reading order” or “Claire Delacroix reading order”, I decided it would be a good idea to create one of these little guides.

The result is ready for you today. It’s a free download at my store as well as at major portals, and it’s thick with links. There are links to product pages (there’s an Amazon and an iBooks version with links to their portals specifically) as well as links to other content on my site that you might have missed—an out-take scene, family trees to download, audio samples, swag, upcoming booksignings. It’s a jam-packed little volume.

My plan is to update it annually, so this is the 2016 edition.
