This month, KOBO has a sale on science fiction and fantasy audiobooks, which includes paranormal romance and science fiction romance. You’ll find the new reading of Kiss of Fire as well as the audiobook of Wyvern’s Kiss discounted for the sale.
Kiss of Fire is $3.99CA/AU/NZD, $2.99US and £1.99.
Wyvern’s Mate is $2.99CA/AU/NZD, $1.99US and £1.99.
The first Dragonfire audiobook is available! This is an auto-narration, which means it’s a reading, not a performance. I chose a British accent for this project, because the only reference in the text to accents is to Erik’s British accent – I thought it would be odd if it said “Erik commented, his British accent stronger because he was annoyed” and not have the dialogue be in a British accent. Also, personal preference – if someone is going to read to me, I’d prefer they did it with a British accent. 🙂
The audiobook of Kiss of Fire is available at GooglePlay and KOBO. The price is the same as for the regularly priced e-book. You can only listen to a sample at GooglePlay (insert long technical explanation here – or not. I just couldn’t make it work, and neither could the support peeps.) We’re planning to do one a month so Kiss of Fury will be next. You can keep track of the releases on the new Audio page for Dragonfire.
Kiss of Fire
One kiss can change the course of destiny…
When ace accountant Sara Keegan decides to settle down and run her quirky aunt’s New Age bookstore, she’s not looking for adventure. She doesn’t believe in fate or the magic of tarot cards, but when she’s saved from a vicious attack by a man who has the ability to turn into a fire-breathing dragon, she questions whether she’s losing her mind – or about to lose her heart.
Self-reliant loner Quinn Tyrrell has long been distrustful of his fellow Pyr. When he feels the firestorm that signals his destined mate, he’s determined to protect and possess Sara, regardless of the cost. Then Sara’s true destiny is revealed and Quinn realizes he must risk everything – even Sara’s love – to fulfill their entwined fates.
The Dragonfire Novels are being made available in audiobook editions using a new option at Google. These are AI narrations, which means they are readings instead of performances. A human narrator will distinguish the voices of the characters from each, change the speed of the reading for dramatic effect, and add inflection to dialogue. These are simply readings. (They still need to be proofed and corrected, just like an audiobook performed by a human narrator.) They are, however, much cheaper to produce, which means they’re priced similarly to my ebooks.
I’m starting this project with the first three Dragonfire Novels to see how well the editions perform. These audiobooks will be available at GooglePlay and KOBO, and there will be one released each month. There’s a new tab under Audio for the Dragonfire Novels, and I’ll post here on the blog with portal links when each one goes live. (There won’t be pre-orders on them.)
Don’t miss these three series starters, discounted to just 99 cents for the month of December!
The Mercenary’s Bride is book one of my Brides of Inverfyre series of medieval Scottish romances. It’s a Christmas novella, a story of homecoming, second chances and healing love. I love Beauty & the Beast stories, don’t you? It’s just 99 cents this month. It’s also available in a new audiobook, narrated by Tim Campbell.
Kiss of Fire is the first book in my Dragonfire series of paranormal romances featuring dragon shifter heroes on a quest to save the earth. The series is complete – although it leads into my DragonFate series, which is in progress – and Kiss of Fire is on sale for just 99cents this month. Quinn and Sara’s story is the first of my dragon shifter romances and the beginning of a long series. Don’t miss it!
KOBO is having an audiobook sale on historical fiction, which includes historical romance. The sale is on now and lasts through November 11. You’ll find three of my Jewels of Kinfairlie medieval romance audiobooks discounted for the sale.
I’ve used the graphic for the US store above, so if you’re in AU, NZ or CA, the prices are reduced to less than $12.99 AU/NZ/CA.
