The plan was for When Annika Met Thom to be a novella to wrap up the Flatiron Five Fitness series, at least for now. That’s why the cover was just type, so everyone would know at a glance that it was a shorter work, like Two Weddings & a Baby. But you know what they say about best laid plans: they go awry.

I really like this couple and they were a lot of fun to write about. Their story kept getting longer until it grew into a book. It’s about the same length as Just Home for the Holidays, which meant it needed a couple on the cover to show that it’s a complete romance. Fortunately, my amazing cover artist came to the rescue in a hurry.

This also means that the price of the book will increase on the publication date, because it’s a longer work. All the more reason to pre-order today!
