The Crusader’s Handfast Giveaway

Many of you have commented that giveaways are always for digital books, and that you’d like to win signed print books for your keeper shelf. (Be sure to check out the Highland DreamWeavers Extravaganza, as there are a number of signed print books to be won in that contest.) Because of your comments, I’ve decided to add a new monthly contest for (surprise!) signed print copies of my books. Each month, I’ll feature a title. All you have to do for your chance to win is comment on the blog post. Depending on the number of entries, I may add more copies of the book in question.

This contest is open to readers in US, Canada, UK, Australia and NZ.

The Crusader's Handfast, #5 in the Champions of Saint Euphemia series of medieval romances by Claire DelacroixDecember’s featured title is The Crusader’s Handfast, a choice that seems apt as Duncan and Radegunde’s story is a May-December romance. It’s also a medieval romance, with action, adventure and intrigue, which begins in Paris and ends in Scotland. The Crusader’s Handfast was originally published in installments, but the complete story is now available in a single volume, in both digital and print editions. You can read the first installment free now – both the EPUB and the MOBI are available for free download from my online store.

For your chance to win a signed copy, just comment on this post. Tell me what you love most about Scottish heroes. I’ll choose a winner at the beginning of January.

Good luck!

  1. I have been enjoying this series and would love a signed copy! My favorite thing about Scottish heroes is their bravery. The medieval time period was a dark one and love reading about heroes of valor who protect their ladies (who often are very brave themselves)!

  6. Scottish men, especially warriors were incredible fighters, they gave 110% if the fight or cause was believed to be worthy. THE men who cherished and loved their women expected others to follow their example. The women learned to be strong and bold because they had to. They were left behind to protect when their men were off fighting, but they had to be the same to love a Scottish man.

  11. First thank you for doing this giveaway! I would love to receive this book. Sadly my fiancée recently left me because I found out I have MS. And asked me to move out of his house (where I had been living for about 6 years. We where together for 8 years.) so I have been couch surfing so I have no address…. So I was hoping I could receive the book in digital form for my Kindle if I win? I know its a lot to ask for, but I really have no other choice.

I love all kinds of heroes but I love the medieval romances and Scottish heroes because of their alpha male traits. I also love that they usually are riding horses.

I love Scotland the country because of the scenery. Might seem strange as I live in Ireland and we have some magnificent scenery here too. I love reading about Scottish heroes because I love reading about the customs of the time and the bravery of the warriors. I’ve read lots in this genre over the years.

The reason I love Scottish heroes is their loyalty and love of family. They always seem so wise and understanding, and always willing to go above and beyond what most would consider doing. Your books have a spot on my keeper shelf and I would be honored to add this signed copy should I win, as I haven’t read this book as yet. You have become a must-read-everything-by-her author for me. Merry Christmas!

First of all, thank you for this great giveaway. Okay, what I love most about Scottish heroes are their height and built, their Scottish accent, their bravery and loyalty, their love for their clan and family, their fearless in battles, and last but not least, their love and devotion to the woman they love. Seriously though, what’s not to love a man in kilt. 🙂

  39. I fell in love with Historicals when I was a teen, especially anything in Ireland, Scotland and etc. The way many authors use real history and locations to enrich their stories traps me everytime. Combine all this with a time period hero who takes your breath away and it can’t be beat. Thanks for an opportunity to win this print book. Also can’t beat the feel of a real book in your hands to enrich the experience. lol.

I love Scottish historical heroes because they are real “men’s men” that you just don’t find in the modern world. They are educated, but can also wield a sword in defense of their lands, home and family. They are chivalrous, brave and take-charge leaders who can unite a clan behind them with word and deed and rule decisively, yet still turn to mush for the right woman and know that their love is a strength, not a weakness. They are true Renaissance men, and they know how to make a woman feel like a woman in the bedroom. What’s not to love?
