This past year, I tried some new things with the blog. Essentially, I like how it’s worked out, so in 2012, I’ll try to stick with my weekly schedule. That’s Writing and Publishing posts on Monday and Wednesday, guest authors or blog touring on Tuesdays and Thursdays and knitting on Fridays. Of course, not all weeks work out perfectly – this week, my guest is on Wednesday because I read the calendar wrong – but the mix is a good one, IMO.
This past year, I’ve officially done two blog tours. Both times, they’ve been arranged by people who do such things, and both times were a lot of fun. It is a lot to coordinate, though, and I have a Theory that it might be simpler and faster to just coordinate such things myself.
So, for 2012, here’s my plan. (I like having plans, almost as much as having theories!) I’ll coordinate my own blog tours with my releases and with my whims. That means that if you have a blog and you would like me to guest post on your blog, or if you write in a similar genre to my release and would like to swap blog posts for a day, the contact person is yours truly. You know what to do with those caps and spaces. Use BLOG in the subject line, please.
Alternatively, you can leave a comment on this post and I’ll delete see it.
The schedule ahead is:
January – publication of FLASHFIRE, #7 in my paranormal romance series Dragonfire
February – focus on time travel romance
March and April – focus on medieval and historical romance
May – TBD
June – publication of BLAZING THE TRAIL, #3 in my paranormal YA series The Dragon Diaries
July – TBD
August and September – focus on medieval and historical romance
October – publication of EMBER’S KISS, #8 in my paranormal romance series Dragonfire
November – TBD
December – focus on holiday-themed romances
Of course, there are going to be opportunities that come up which don’t fit into this nice neat plan, but that’s okay. Just having the plan makes me feel organized and the beginning of the year is all about getting organized for me. It’s during the year that I play. 🙂
