Great Read

I was sucked into the reading vortex this week – you know how it goes when you pick up a book that you just can’t put down. The book that snared me was Ann Aguirre’s GRIMSPACE. I loved this book. It was a compelling read, with just the right balance of worldbuilding, action, and characterization. I would have called it a space opera romance, but I see that Ann calls the Jax series romantic science fiction. Either way, it’s a terrific read – and even better, this book is first in a series. I’ll snag the others but won’t start the next book until I have a block of time set aside to devour it.

Just FYI, Ann’s website is HERE.

Have you read anything lately that really caught your attention?

  2. The Night Angel series by Brent Weeks. Couldn’t put them down, tempted to read them all again and pace for the next books by him.

Then again, there are so many to celebrate as good reads, too. 😉

  3. I have been writing reviews for fresh Fiction, and reading has become somewhat of a pleasurable chore. Grimspace sounds like something I would really enjoy!
I am currently reading a book called Procession of the Dead, that makes me a bit wary. I am engaged, but I fear it might be one of those artsy books with an existential ending. I hope not!
