Back to School

,

Yesterday, I visited a high school English class to talk about being a writer. We talked about publishing, about the use of pseudonyms, about getting ideas, about world-building and about the daily rhythm of being a working writer. It was a lot of fun, and the kids had lots of good questions. I’d never spoken to a class before – usually I speak to aspiring writers or writing groups – so it was all new and different. With any luck, I wasn’t too boring!

Thanks to Phil for inviting me, and thanks to the class for making me so welcome.

About Me
USA Today bestselling author Deborah Cooke, who also writes as Claire Delacroix

I’m Deborah and I love writing romance novels that blend emotion, humor, and happily-every-after. I’ve been publishing my stories since 1992 and have written as Claire Delacroix (historical and fantasy romance), Claire Cross (time travel romance and romantic comedy) and myself (paranormal romance and contemporary romance). My goal is to keep you turning the pages, no matter which sub-genre you prefer.
