hi Ms. Cooke, I have just finished kiss of fate in preparation to read winter kiss, and can say I loved it. I love how the characters, despite being set in fantasy setting, are very realistic. I also love the whole gaia, “going green” concept as one of the conflicts, especially since this problem is so real. I love it, it really teaches the reader to look outside themselves in such a fun creative way… BUT I must say you need to create a place on you webpage that clarifies the Pyr world, it could be really fun, because of all the characters and the long past they share, plus the supernatural aspects of the story become confusing… I found there spots in fate, where I was little confused, such as when Sigmund left to become slayer, and louisa killed herself, the timelines a little fuzzy, also some the logistics with the firestorm are confusing, Im so happy for erik and eileen with their baby girl, but I was wondwering can they have a baby boy together, after (who can shift…) I know that Quinn had brothers who were obviously shifters, but were they all from the same mother??? Well Thanks and continue the good work…. And get rafferty’s done… I feel so bad for him… Plus sophie and Nickolas need to their happy ending, especially after their sacrifice…

  2. Hi Kat –

I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed Erik and Eileen’s book. It was one with a lot of Pyr lore, since Erik is the leader of the Pyr and has lived a long time. He’s seen a lot, and he’s only started to tell us about it all.

The challenge with multiple books set in a fictional world is getting the balance right – there are lots of details of the world that the reader needs to know, but if those details are repeated in each book, readers of the series will find the detail repetitive. OTOH, I want new readers to pick up any book and know what’s going on. I try to strike a balance, but inevitably, some readers will want more.

So, your idea about a Pyr F.A.Q. page on my site is a really good one. I’m going to work on that this month. Thanks!
