Writer in Residence Blog

As of today, I’ll be blogging three times a week as part of the Writer in Residence program at the Toronto Public Library.

• On Mondays, there will be a new post from me on some facet of writing romance.

• On Wednesdays, I’ll post links there to other posts on the same topic. Many of them will come back to this blog to older posts of mine.

• On Fridays, there will be guest bloggers on the TPL site, invited to discuss some specific market niche or area of publishing. I’m pretty excited about the guests who have agreed to contribute, and hope you have a chance to pop by and read their words of wisdom.

I’ll be putting links here on Mondays and Fridays to the TPL blog, but on Wednesdays, you can choose for yourself whether you want to wander over or not. If you’ve been reading this blog, the posts won’t be new material for you.

The Toronto Public Library blog for my residency is right HERE.

Details about the public events associated with the residency are HERE.

There will be three posts today:
Introductions All Around
An Introduction to the Romance Genre – or Why Write Romance?
and
Resources for Romance Writers

About Me
USA Today bestselling author Deborah Cooke, who also writes as Claire Delacroix

I’m Deborah and I love writing romance novels that blend emotion, humor, and happily-every-after. I’ve been publishing my stories since 1992 and have written as Claire Delacroix (historical and fantasy romance), Claire Cross (time travel romance and romantic comedy) and myself (paranormal romance and contemporary romance). My goal is to keep you turning the pages, no matter which sub-genre you prefer.
