Writer in Residence

The Toronto Public Library has a writer-in-residence program and this year, for the first time ever, they are having a residency for a romance writer.

Guess who it will be?

Right! I will be the writer-in-residence for the TPL this fall. The program runs for eight weeks, through October and November, and will be administered through the North York Central Branch. (By strange and wonderful coincidence, that’s the branch where the Toronto Romance Writers’ RWA chapter meets!)

A big part of the residency is my critiquing unpublished manuscripts for library patrons, and there will be a call from the library for submissions later this year. There will also be a couple of events open to the public, and I’ll give you details closer to the date. For those of you who are farther afield, I will also be blogging on the library’s website about writing romance novels. Links to come as everything gets sorted out.

I think this is going to be fun!

About Me
USA Today bestselling author Deborah Cooke, who also writes as Claire Delacroix

I’m Deborah and I love writing romance novels that blend emotion, humor, and happily-every-after. I’ve been publishing my stories since 1992 and have written as Claire Delacroix (historical and fantasy romance), Claire Cross (time travel romance and romantic comedy) and myself (paranormal romance and contemporary romance). My goal is to keep you turning the pages, no matter which sub-genre you prefer.
