Sock KAL Check-In #1

How’s your sock coming along?

I’m finished the gusset on my first sock in Cookie A’s Baudelaire pattern. I’ve knit these before – but gave them away! – and like the pattern a lot. I’m not a huge fan of toe-up socks, because it’s always irritating to me to start at the point of anything. I thought that might go better this time, being a bit more familiar, but it still was a bit of a challenge. Old habits die hard, I guess.

The other thing about toe-up socks that I find weird is knitting the heel. So, I’ll take a deep breath and hope for the best on this one.

Maybe I’m just destined to be a cuff-down sock knitter forever!

  1. I have the yarn chosen, I’m currently shopping Barbara Walter books for a slip stitch ribbing I like.

  3. I turned my heel! Ha – and it looks better than the last time I did a toe-up peasant heel.

    On to the fun part.
