Review for KISS OF FATE

,

This one came in over the holidays, from Night Owl Reviews, and it’s a good one:

Title: Kiss of Fate : A Dragonfire Novel #3
Author: Deborah Cooke
Genre: Paranormal
Hearts: 4.5 / 5 – Reviewer Top Pick
Reviewer: Leslee

“This is a wonderful third installment in the saga of the Pyr. We are treated to the leader of the Pyr‘s firestorm with the reincarnation of his first mate. Erik is visited by Sophie, The Wyvern, who reveals his mate has been reborn into Eileen Grosvenor, Ph.D. Eileen has been called by her old college roommate to view a curious set of artifacts to help identify what they might have come from. What she finds is The Dragon’s Teeth that the Pyr have been searching for in order to build a Pyr army to fight the Slayers. While she is in the vault viewing them, Slayers arrive and slaughter her friend before her eyes. Luckily Erik arrives to save her and the teeth. Will Eileen be stronger than she was in her past life and accept Erik and his world?

This was an intense ride. Ms. Cooke has a great talent, letting the story unfold a little more in each book in this series. There were some deep tangible moments of emotion between Erik, Eileen, and Erik’s son, Sigmund. The plot is very cohesive and well thought out. Each mate has become a partner, not just a possession which I really like. Also, the Pyr and their mates are involved in the fight. They contribute to the struggle and don’t just show up because it is a series and thus expected. I would urge everyone, if you love paranormal romance in any way, this is a series you should be following.”

What a great review! HERE’s the link to the review on their site.

  1. Whoo hoo! If reviews are starting to arrive, I guess that means we’ll be getting our hands on Erik ourselves soon! Can’t hardly wait for Feb to get here.
