Ooopsie

Those of you browsing the internet instead of eating turkey – or prepping turkey dinner – may have noticed that my host was AWOL today. Evidently there were server problems, but we’re BAAAAAAAACK!

Gotta love those tech dudes.

I have bought and read your novel “Kiss of Fire.” I really enjoyed your use of a mate bond in the story as well as the use of dragon mythos. I read on your site that you study medieval mythology and history. Do you plan on writing a series about the fae?

  2. Hi Wesley –

I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed KISS OF FIRE. I’m really having a lot of fun playing with dragon mythology and weaving those elements into the Dragonfire books.

As for the fey, I’ve written a few things with them, both published under the name Claire Delacroix. My last medieval series – “The Jewels of Kinfairlie” – had a spriggan as a secondary character, which only one of the siblings could see. Spriggans are mischievous sprites in Scottish lore. I also wrote a novella “An Elegy for Melusine” which was a retelling of the medieval story of Melusine, a kind of precursor to fairy tales – it was published in the antho TO WEAVE A WEB OF MAGIC. Melusine was half-fey, cursed to have her lower body take the form of a snake one day a week.

I have other ideas, of course, but those are the ones that have been sold and published. The others are still wandering around my desk.
