This is a fundraiser that I’m participating in this month. Here’s the homepage for the event – the graphic is linked too – which runs through the month of September.
The idea is that we sponsor each other to write more and read more, and raise money for Cystic Fibrosis on the way. It should be fun.
Debbie Macomber is the pacesetter for this event, and has vowed to try to write 30,000 words. I need to finish a manuscript, which means I need to write more than that. If you want to egg me on, pop by my sponsor/donor page at the CF site, and make a donation.
Alternatively, you can wait until the end to donate. I’m going to sponsor myself to the tune of a dollar for every thousand words. I can’t see a place to pledge like that – although there must be one – so I’ll just make a donation at the end when my count is complete. We need to send weekly totals in to the organizers, so I’m thinking they’ll be displayed as we go on the Unleash Your Story website.
I’ll keep you in the loop right here, if nothing else! I’m just planning to write and write and write, so other people will need to work out the administrative details.
