Yummy Yummy

My editor sent me a real copy of KISS OF FIRE. WOW! I just love the cover for this book – it looks even better wrapped around an actual book.

It’s funny how everything suddenly seems real when the manuscript becomes a book. I know all along that that’s what’s going to happen, of course, but holding the book always gives me a thrill. (At this point, I suspect it always will!) My story is going out into the world and other people will read it. I always have high hopes at this point, that other people will love my characters as much as I do.

Of course, there’s nothing to be done about it now. The book is as it will be, so I just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Only a month until the on-sale date. Here we go!

  1. I think it’s the physical manifestation of your work into a finished product that helps provide the thrill. You get to touch it, and admire it, and say “I did that!”

Congrats, Claire. Looking foward to reading it and going to the local bookstores to turn it face out!
