Summing Up 2022

2022 was a big year in some ways and a teeny one in others.

I had Covid in January and that certainly influenced results. I had to step back and rethink my working schedule, thanks to that illness and its effects. I chose to concentrate on my historical romances instead of writing and publishing in three subgenres, and I enrolled a lot of work in Kindle Unlimited.

New Releases:

One exciting accomplishment in 2022 was finishing up my Flatiron Five Fitness series with book #10, When Annika Met Thom. This was supposed to be a short story, or maybe a novella, but these two weren’t having any of that. I’m really happy with how their story came out and how it wrapped up the series.

I had no new releases in PNR this year. 😦 We did, though, begin to produce the Dragonfire Novels in A.I. narrated audiobooks.

I also published bundles in the F5F series, three of them, as well as a bundle of Flatiron Five Tattoo in both ebook and print.

Translations:

It was a busy year for translations for me with eleven new translations published. “Claire” had an additional 32, giving me a total of 43 translations published in 2022. That’s my busiest year yet!

You can find these books under the Translations tab, by language: Português, Italiano, and Español. I have new contracts underway to translate the Dragonfire Novels into both French and Portuguese, so that’s something to look forward to in 2023.

Administrivia:

By the fall, I knew that KU wasn’t working for me, so I republished everything at all portals over several months. I also changed newsletter services in 2022 and I updated all of my ebook interiors. (Wow. There are a lot of them.) My PNR came to live on this website, instead of having a site of its own. There was a lot of work behind the scenes this year and I’m glad it’s done. I also have my first ever Kickstarter campaign running right now, which is an exciting new adventure.

Things were even busier on Claire’s side of my office, but I’ll sum that up on her blog.

2023 is going to be all about new stories. I can’t wait.

The Store

The Store is back.

I’ve added some series bundles of print books to the Store here on my site. I’m still sorting things out there – my plans to install a sexy app have dissolved, so I’m back to Paypal buttons. Sometimes simpler is better! I need to add a bundle of the entire F5F series, but there are a lot of dragons in the store already.

I have a lot more books and can order anything you like to send it to you signed. We also pack some swag with every order. The prices include postage to the US or Canada. If you live somewhere else and would like a postage estimate or if you’re interested in a book (or books) that aren’t there, please email me and let me know.

Last year, we had a good long run with some free series starters. Just One Fake Date was free from April to the end of the year. Kiss of Fire was free most of the year. Wyvern’s Mate, my other PNR series starter, was 99 cents last year. The Beauty Bride was free until my medieval romances went into Kindle Unlimited. It’s time to switch things up!

For my contemporary romances, my two series starters are 99cents for first quarter of 2022. You can get Just One Fake Date or Just One Snowbound Night for just 99 pennies. Remember that there are now boxed sets available for both series, and those are more economical ways to continue reading. Also, for Q1, my contemporary romance and romantic comedy, All or Nothing, is a free read. I love this book so much: Zach and Jen are fun together and so good for each other. It’s set between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but a fun read no matter what the season.

For my paranormal romances, Kiss of Fire and Wyvern’s Mate have returned to their regular prices because there’s now a bundle of series starters called Dragons First. (It also includes the DragonFate prequel, Maeve’s Book of Beasts, and the Dragons of Incendium short story, Nero’s Dream.) I’m going to include that cover here, just because I like it so much. 🙂 There’s a bundle for the first six works in the Dragons of Incendium series called The Dragons of Incendium: the First Collection.

There are also discount codes available for KOBO, Barnes & Noble, GooglePlay and Smashwords, so you can save when you continue reading. These digital coupons are a bit of a new thing so I’m giving them a try. You can find the details in the password-protected area of the Dragonfire website called The Lair.
