On Sunday, I had a BookBub Featured Deal for Simply Irresistible, which is book one of my Flatiron Five series of contemporary romances. This serie starter was featured as a free read.

Simply Irresistible has had BBFD’s before – dates – so it’s reasonable to expect diminished results each time.

This time, I discounted other books in the series in the hope of prolonging the halo. I did this with The Princess in June and the strategy worked well for historical romance – the halo for that series extended well into July at all portals. This was an opportunity to see how well it worked for my contemporary romances.

By 12:30 Eastern, Tyler and Amy’s book was on the move at Amazon.com. It had already reached #2 in Romantic Comedy and #5 in Contemporary Romance, as well as #22 overall free in the Kindle store. What a great start!

Tuesday morning, the results look like this:

At Amazon.com, Simply Irresistible is #1 in Romantic Comedy, #2 in Contemporary Romance and #10 overall free in the Kindle store.

At Apple, Simply Irresistible is #2 in Romance and #2 overall free in the Apple store.

I’m very pleased with results so far. 🙂
