The Crusader’s Handfast

The Crusader's Handfast, #5 in the Champions of Saint Euphemia series of medieval romances by Claire DelacroixRadegunde and Duncan’s story is the unexpected (but necessary) fifth book in the Champions of Saint Euphemia series.

The Crusader’s Handfast begins in Paris, after the reliquary has been safely delivered to the Paris Temple. Their story involves the revelation of secrets, and the resolution of hidden conflicts. I like that these two ensure the futures of their respective employers from behind the scenes, and I also like that Radegunde’s cheerfulness is so restorative for Duncan. In a way, their resilience makes them two of a kind, but their fates are not entirely their own. Are they star-crossed lovers? Or will the course of love run true?

This story is being published in installments, beginning in December. The whole book will be available for purchase in both print and digital formats in July 2016.

  1. Interesting that you are publishing it in installments. Which many are doing but I will wait for the whole thing to come out. That way I don’t tease, tempt and torture myself for wanting to know more NOW. As an editor my writers did that all the time when it does make it much easier on them with edits. But poor me wanted it all now. I never minded the added editing because I then had the whole story read and just had edits to finish. I edited while I read the first time through. Then read it again edited, for a smoother read and catch any more edits. Sorry, it will be great for you this way. I just have to bite my tongue in anticipation and wait.

    1. Yes, some people will wait, but as the story interweaves with the others, there will be some who want to read along. I’m curious to see what readers prefer!

  2. I’m a take it all now, kind of person. LOL! I really don’t like installments. I always like to start a series at the beginning. I’m sure the Crusader’s Handfast is as fascinating as the rest of your work. Happy holidays, Deborah.
