Miss Me?

I took a little time away from the computer and the internet in the past couple of weeks, so the blog posts slowed down a bit.

I didn’t go away but instead got around to a lot of things that had been waiting on me. Weeds were pulled. Mums were planted. Seeds were gathered. Pears were canned and vegetables were diced for the freezer. Clothes were sorted for the winter season and either put away or sent to thrift stores to make someone else happy. The house was really cleaned, including cupboards. Bookshelves were sorted and, yes, we have reached that magical mystical balance point at which there are NO books on the floor. Wow! It won’t last, but it’s lovely to see. The dining room is mostly painted and THE SNOW WHITE BRIDE is republished digitally. I caught up with some friends, did some walking in this beautiful autumn weather, took a picnic to the beach and tried a bunch of new recipes. Phew.

Did you miss me? I’m back and feeling recharged!

This week, I have two guest authors visiting Alive & Knitting, one tomorrow and one on Thursday. I’ll have a new knitting pattern to show off on Friday (yes, I did some knitting but that’s not really news). I’m also at the B&N General Fiction forum this month, talking about KISS OF FIRE, and I’ll be at the Word on the Street bookfair in Toronto on Sunday, in the Toronto Romance Writers booth. I have some books to sign and give away there. So, it’s back to work and back to writing.

How is your September shaping up so far?

  1. Hi Deb, glad you took some time to recharge, we all need it. I hope all your fans come visit at B&N, this is the last week of discussions, but come say hi and talk to Deb and me too. I wish I could come see you in Canada this week, it’s one place I’ve always wanted to visit, oh well one of these days.
Can’t wait to read what’s coming up next.
