Stacey Kennedy is another writer in my writing group and my local RWA chapter. She’s tremendously energetic and is having huge success this year with her books. I’ll be visiting her blog in August, but here’s Stacey today to tell you about her books.
*waves* I’m so thrilled to be here and big hugs go out to Deborah Cooke for sharing her space with me today. I’ve always thought of myself as a reader who turned writer. I think I read so much that it rubbed off on me and my muse was awakened. The thing about writing your own stories is you can take everything you love about books and smash it all together in your story. Therefore, it is no surprise to me that I tend to write in between genres.
What does that mean?
Well, my stories are classified as urban fantasy/paranormal romance but they dapple into other genres too. They have some of the steamy stuff, kick-butt action, life-threatening moments, and always involves the hunt to destroy an evil villain. But I also write suspense within my stories and need to have some emotion the characters must overcome. In addition, my characters always seem to amuse me along the way and naturally have a good sense of humor. Add this to a fast-paced story and you have the definition of a Stacey Kennedy novel.
If you’re like me and enjoy a story that keeps you on your edge of seat, makes your cheeks flush from the sexy stuff, and even makes you laugh now and again—Whatnots & Doodads might be for you.
Today I’m giving away an ebook copy of Whatnots & Doodads to one lucky winner. So let us chat books! What type of stories do y’all enjoy? Do you have a favorite supernatural creature? Be sure to leave your email address with your comment to be entered, and this story is not appropriate for readers under the age of eighteen. Good luck!!
A witch with unruly magic, a demon gone good, lava-hot passion and a tornado of emotions–just another night in Strange Hollow.
For Bryanna, a witch from the Asheville Coven, magic is on the fritz. Shunned by her coven and her boyfriend Layton for her unruly magic, she seeks a new life for herself. It just so happens, fate steps in and brings her to Strange Hollow–a place where being different is not only acceptable, but encouraged.
When Bryanna arrives in Strange Hollow, Zeke, a demon gone good, is burning with Hell’s fire over her. Not only has she set his world ablaze, but he’s found one soul he can save. He’s determined to free her from the insecurities that have damaged her soul.
Together they experience lava-hot passion as they weave their way through a tornado of emotions. But when Layton returns for her, will Zeke’s attempts to break the unworthy cage woven around her be enough to keep her in Strange Hollow forever?
Thanks, Stacey, for visiting today and for the prize book. Okay, the floor is open for comments and questions!

Whatnots and Doodads sounds right up my alley! I adore Urban Fantasy especially with some laughs. (Shelly Laurenston, Rob Thurman’s Trickster series etc). I’ll look forward to your books, and see if I can request them for review at Fresh Fiction (my dream job, free books in exchange for writing a few hundred words!) Of course, it sounds like I’ll have to get in line as there will be plenty of reviewers wanting to read them, too :-} Continued Luck to you!
