The Trouble With Angels

,

I’ve had a rummage through my TBR pile and finally decided to read some of the angel books stashed away there. It’s not an accident that they’ve been stashed – while I was writing my own angel series, I didn’t want to read what other authors were doing with angels. But I was interested, so the books ended up in the TBR.In the past couple of weeks, I’ve read a lot of angel fiction.

My favourite so far is HUSH, HUSH by Becca Fitzpatrick. It’s a YA book, and really well done. I love the dialogue between the heroine and her best friend, and the sexual tension with the hero (or is he the villain? Hmmm.) A very compelling read. If you haven’t read this one, I highly recommend it.

I believe the next book in the series has been released as well…

  1. Hmm, Deb great minds and all that. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the First Look program at B&N.com where we are first to read and discuss usually debut authors and we did Hush Hush a while back before publication and just last month B&N brought back Becca and we got to read the next in the series Crescendo too. I agree with you that it’s a great series and the characters are very engaging. In fact I reviewed Crescendo and posted it to my blog yesterday. I’m not usually a fan of YA but she opened my eyes to the genre and now I read a few of them and I can’t wait to read the one you have in the works.

    1. LOL Deb – Not that hard to believe that we have similar tastes in books, is it? I’ll have to look for the next book in the series.

  2. A fallen angel book I’ve read (not really lately) that I really liked was Angel Slayer by Michele Hauf. She does some really interesting things with her angels. They had a steampunk feel to them.

    1. Thanks for the suggestion, Stephanie. I like Michele’s work but haven’t read her angels. There you go – adding to my TBR pile again!
