Hot off the Press!

W00T! The courier just brought me a finished copy of WHISPER KISS, courtesy of my wonderful editor.

It looks so great.Wow! It’s always exciting to see the finished cover on the finished book. I love the colours of this one. This book is fat, too, and I love the gold type on the front.

There’s an excerpt from Rafferty’s book in the back, just to get you ready for next May.

Plus, DJ will be glad to know that the trim is exactly the same as the other Dragonfire books – Niall doesn’t have any eyes either.

Woo HOOOO – it’s almost time for Niall and Rox to show up in your local bookstore.

  1. WOOOO HOOOOO is right Deborah!! I am counting down the days for this release – 28 days to go.

But hey, I wasn’t the only one who posted that they liked the cut on the covers better with no eyes! I’m really glad they did keep that though.

    1. Sorry DJ –

I thought you were the first to comment on the trim! Oh well, at least we’re in agreement – I like it this way too. 🙂

  2. I don’t remember if I was the first or not. But yes, when all the other covers have been done one way it’s always nice to keep new ones the same way.

Now all I need is to know when Darkfire Kiss comes out!

I’ll guess Tuesday the 3rd, but will confirm it with my editor this summer. 🙂

  3. Aaaaaaah!!! Why is it always so far between books by my favorite authors? And you are tied with Jeaniene Frost for that honor. But when I get one of your books I read right through in one sitting so can I go quietly nuts before then?

    1. LOL DJ –

It would be very jazzy if I could WRITE a book straight through in one sitting, but that would be quite a trick. I’m writing as fast as I can! ;-D

      Thanks for the good company!

    2. Oh and there is good news – beginning with Rafferty’s book, I’ll be alternating between the YA Dragonfire and the adult Dragonfire. That means a new Dragonfire title three times a year. We’re still talking about publication slots for 2011 but I’ll let you know when they’re more finalized.

And yes, there’s more good news, but it will have to wait a little bit…

  4. Since I like YA just as much as adult I’ll go yaa for more titles in a year.

As for the “wait a little bit” you are just as evil as Jeaniene is!

    1. Two weeks, DJ. I’ll spill it in two weeks – before I got to RWA National!

In fact, I’ll queue up the post right now, so there’s no chance of my forgetting it. 🙂
