You may have missed Sarah’s post in the comments, so I’ll draw it to your attention here. Sarah has reviewed KISS OF FIRE and her review is posted at Romance Readers’ Connection HERE.
It’s not really a spoiler if I tell you that she loved the book, is it?!

Kiss of Fire lured me in from the first page. As a true lover of dragons and dragon lore, I was intrigued by her spin on the Pyr and Slayers. I genuinely enjoyed the seductive tale of passion, hope, and love and courage that Deborah has created between her remarkable and memorable characters and look forward to further stories, as the bonds that were forged in the first book strengthen and work together to fight the Slayers.

I decided to buy this book just to find a new author to read. To my delight I loved it after reading the first chapter. I can’t wait for the next story to come out. One of the things I do want to tell Ms. Cooke is that I hope the stories do not become complicated to the point of confusion. I have read books by Liu, Marjorie M. and Kenyon, Sherrilyn, which I love but I have to admit the story lines have gotten too complex to understand. They have started to put in new twist and turns which make the series longer but at the same time too confusing. It is rare now that I anticipate their next book. I am hoping that this series does not follow the same path. As much as we love the series, I would rather that it has an ending instead of this neverending complexity. There are always other ways to keep the stories alive. Good Luck!

I just want to say that I’m close to the end of Kiss of Fire. Let’s just say that I’m always eager for nightfall so I could delve into this book (night is the only free time I have to read with three boys), and I tend to stay up till three or four in the morning knowing that I have to get up in three and a half hours to get my two oldest sons to school.
I’ve also highly recommended this book to a friend… well more like “You must get this book you’d like it”
I really do like your take on the dragons, their elemental powers.

I simply loved your book and the characters. Can’t wait until your next one comes out. I have several friends who are also waiting for your next book. Kiss of Fire draws you into it from the start and holds on to you until the end. Very Great read!!!!!!!

I was browsing through amazon.com looking for a new author to get into and there was a picture of Kiss of Fire. It must’ve been providence because I LOVE DRAGONS and I love romance so putting them together is an instant hit for me. I immediately called Borders and picked it up. I finished the book yesterday and I absolutely loved it. I COULD NOT put it down. I’m just sad to see the next one doesn’t come out until August. :sigh:
