More Dragonfire

,

Several of you have asked in the comments about the continuation of the Dragonfire series after Quinn’s book. I thought I’d answer here, as it’ll be easier to find the info.

Right now, there are three Dragonfire books contracted and scheduled for publication.

1. KISS OF FIRE – this is Quinn’s book, which is on sale now.

2. KISS OF FURY – this is Donovan’s book, which will be on sale in August. The cover and an excerpt are already posted on my site, if you’re curious.

3. KISS OF FATE – this is Erik’s book, which will be on sale February 2009. I’m still writing this book, as Erik is reluctant to surrender his secrets. He’s got a lot of them, so Eileen and I are patiently unraveling them all, in order to ensure he gets the H.E.A. he and Eileen deserve.

The intent was always that the series would continue – I envision either seven book series or a thirteen book series, which makes my editor laugh – but in publishing, such decisions are always contingent upon sales. It looks as if Quinn’s book is doing well out there in the world, so fingers crossed!

There won’t be any discussions until I finish Erik’s book, so that’s job #1. I sense that there’s one last (big, dark) secret Eileen and I need to get out of the leader of the Pyr. It holds the key to understanding him and resolving his conflicts. It must be a really good secret for Erik to be so determined to hide it, don’t you think?

Fortunately, Eileen is just as curious as I am – and with the firestorm on her side, she has a serious advantage on me. Lucky for me, she likes sharing the stories she collects.

  2. Oh, yes. I’m looking forward to a long series to read.

Especially Rafferty’s book. 😉 You just had to tease me with him, didn’t you? (grin)

    Happy writing.

I meant to say earlier was that besides enjoying the story, I really enjoyed your description of your dragons’ colors. A few of the other dragon books I have read had green, black, white, & maybe silver, but yours were all of those lovely shades that were very descriptive. Just another kudo!

  4. I stumbled across your book KISS OF FIRE today (February 29) at Walmart. It was a tough decision between your book and Feehan’s, then decided dragons won (Year of the dragon here).

Before I can dive into this book I have to finish Harrison’s latest Hollow book. I never read any of your books… thought I’d let you know I bought one of your books
