New Swag

I ordered some new swag which has arrived. Since I really like it, I’ll show it off.

Promotional Tote Bag from Claire Delacroix and Deborah Cooke

These are tote bags with type on both sides: on one side is Claire Delacroix and Knights; on the other is Deborah Cooke and Dragons. They’re a good size for books – 13″ x 13″ x 5″ – and they’re purple, too, which is always a good thing IMO. I bought them for booksignings – the idea is that anyone who buys three books gets a free tote bag to carry them home.

My next signing is at Sexy in the City Toronto on June 13, and there’s a pre-order form for books, right here. Also, I’m including one with purchases of 3 books or more through my Selz store. I have a big box of these totes, so I’m sure there will be some left for Romancing the Capital next spring. (Remember that the discounted reader registration for RTC is only available through this week. The price goes up June 1!)

What do you think of them?

Bookmarks

In preparation for Romancing the Capital, the readers’ conference in Ottawa that I’ll be attending in April, I’ve been making bookmarks. These are the ones for The Crusader’s Bride. There have been a number of versions, but we’re going to go with this variant, even though it’s fiddly to make. (The ribbon is a bit thick for the beads, but it looks so good.) There will also be some for Firestorm Forever.

Raffle Baskets

I’ve packed my raffle baskets for Lori Foster’s Reader-Author Get-Together, which will be next weekend near Cincinnati, Ohio. I’m taking three baskets.

First is the True Love Brides basket. This one includes trade paperback copies of all of the Jewels of Kinfairlie trilogy, plus The Renegade’s Heart and The Highlander’s Curse. It also includes a Kinfairlie cross, which features in The Frost Maiden’s Kiss, coming in August. And there’s a True Love Brides hoodie, too.

Second is the Prometheus Project basket. This one includes trade paperback copies of all four books in the Prometheus Project. It also includes Lilia’s timepiece, so the winner doesn’t miss the end of the world as we know it. There’s a Prometheus Project tote bag in this one, too.

And third is the Dragonfire basket. This one includes trade paperback copies of The Dragon Legion Collection and Serpent’s Kiss, as well as a trade paperback copy of Flying Blind and mass market copies of both Kiss of Fire and Ember’s Kiss. There are Dragonfire earrings in Thorolf’s colourway, some Dragonfire temporary tattoos and a Dragonfire tote bag, too.

I also have a couple of Serpent’s Kiss tote bags and some more Dragonfire earrings in Thorolf’s colourway to give away. If you’re going to the conference, be sure to say hello! It’s going to be a lot of fun!

Dragonfire Tattoos Are Here!

Look what arrived this morning! (Of course, I had to try one out.)dragonfiretattoo

This is a Dragonfire temporary tattoo. I’m happy to mail two to everyone who’d like one – one to test and one for a big event, or one to keep and one to share. Just comment on this post please but don’t include your mailing info. I’ll send you an email privately to get that from you.

New Swag – Dragonfire Temporary Tattoos

One of the things that blew me away at the Coastal Magic Readers’ Conference was all the great swag for readers. I always do postcards, of course, and I have bookplates available, but I realized that I was way behind the game in terms of swag.

And so, I’ve been fixing that.

First off, there’s a new page on the site here, which lists all the available swag, with appropriate links. I added a link for Tony Mauro’s site: he’s the artist who did the illustrations for the first 8 Dragonfire covers, and he sells prints of those illustrations from his site. Look up: it’s on the About Deborah drop-down menu. Or today, you can just click this link to get there from here. 🙂

Next, I added more swag.

The first addition is a Dragonfire temporary tattoo. Amanda Carlson had some at CMRC (with the crescent moon from her Jessica McClain series) and I thought they were so cool. She graciously told me where she’d ordered them, and I set my designer to work. They’re in production right now, but here’s what they look like – the gold is supposed to be your skin, and the dotted line won’t appear on the tattoo:

When they arrive, I’ll let you know. I’ll mail these out just like postcards to those of you who’d like some. 🙂

There’s more on the way, so I show you pix when the box arrives. 🙂
