The Beauty Bride on the Charts

The Beauty Bride, first book in the Jewels of Kinfairlie series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire DelacroixYesterday, I had a BookBub ad for The Beauty Bride and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the results. This book is the first in my Jewels of Kinfairlie series and has been free for the past year. I thought it might be running out of juice as a freebie, but yesterday proved me to be very VERY wrong.

Wow. I’m amazed by how many units went out the door.

Let’s have a look at the results.

At Amazon this morning, The Beauty Bride is sitting at #8 overall free in the Kindle store, as well as #1 in Medieval Romance and #1 in Scottish Romance. I’m keeping some good company over at the ‘Zon today.

Spring Cleaning – The Rose Red Bride

The Rose Red Bride, book #2 of the Jewels of Kinfairlie trilogy of Scottish medieval romances by Claire DelacroixAs I clean up the existing digital book files, I’m also cleaning up the files for the trade paperback editions. This is mostly a question of italics and commas and margins, of me being a fussy typesetter, and of new end matter links, but the result is that I want to clean out my old copies to have only new ones. So, this is the second of three posts about finding new homes for print trade paperback editions.

There are FIVE copies of THE ROSE RED BRIDE that need new homes. Comment on this post to tell me why one of them should be yours. I’ll draw winners on March 15. As usual on my blog, this contest is open internationally. Good luck!

February Reader Contest

It’s time for another reader contest. This month’s prize is a signed trade paperback copy of Abyss, the new and fourth book in my urban fantasy romance series, The Prometheus Project.

Abyss, book #4 of the Prometheus Project of urban fantasy romances by Claire Delacroix

All you have to do for a chance to win is comment on this post. I’ll pick a winner at the end of the month. As always, my contests are open to international entries, and for every 25 entries, I’ll add another prize book.

Good luck!

December Reader Contest

It’s time for another reader contest! This month’s prize is a signed trade paperback copy of The Snow White Bride. This edition includes the linked short story “The Ballad of Rosamunde”. Since this medieval Scottish romance is set at Christmas, I thought it was a good choice for this month’s prize.

All you have to do to have a chance to win is comment on this post. How easy is that? At the end of the month, I’ll choose a winner. As usual, for every 25 entries, I’ll add another prize. Good luck!

This Week’s Sale

I’m having a sale this week, to introduce more readers to my Bride Quest Series.

The Countess, book #1 of the Bride Quest II trilogy, by Claire Delacroix

“The Bride Quest series brings back the glorious time of knights and their ladies in living color, filling our world of dreams with rainbow streams of magnificent adventures, mysteries, ribald humor and divine lovers.”
The Belles and Beaux of Romance

“Be mine for a year and a day and I will possess your heart forevermore!”
Driven from her late husband’s estate, Countess Eglantine de Crevy fled to wildest Scotland to claim a castle, only to find a ruin — and a clan chieftain standing guard. Kinbeath was hers, she declared, vowing to rebuild the manor and launch a bride quest so her daughters could marry for love. But Duncan MacLaren had devised a bride quest of his own, swearing to win the land — and the fiery countess — in a war of sweet seduction…

The digital edition of The Countess, which is the first book in my second Bride Quest trilogy (sometimes called the Scottish Bride Quest) is on sale this week for just 99 cents at Amazon and B&N. It’s free at Apple. The sale price will be available from today through Friday, so don’t miss out!
