BookBub Featured Deal Results for Kiss of Fate

Yesterday, I had a BookBub Featured Deal for Kiss of Fate, book 3 of the Dragonfire Novels, discounted to 99¢. This book has never been on sale before, so I had high hopes for the results.

At Amazon US, Erik and Eileen’s story didn’t make the top 100 paid. This morning, it’s sitting at #348 overall in the store, #13 in werewolf and shifter romance, #16 in paranormal romance and #25 in fantasy and futuristic romance.

Kiss of Fate's ranking in the Amazon US store on December 8 2022

It ranked higher in the Amazon CA store. It’s not quite in the top 100, sitting at #110 overall, and is #5 in paranormal romance for kindle, #6 in paranormal romance and #11 in fantasy, futuristic and ghost romance. Yay, Canada!

Kiss of Fate's ranking in the Amazon CA store on December 8 2022

What’s interesting about this is that Kiss of Fate was the highest ranking book on all these lists that wasn’t in Kindle Unlimited. Five minutes later, I went to take a screen shot and it had dropped to #10 in paranormal romance in the kindle store, still the highest ranking non-KU title. That’s Jennifer Armentrout’s book at #14.

In the AU store, it also rose higher than in the US. Kiss of Fate is at #271 overall in the store, #12 in werewolf and shifter romance, #18 in fantasy romance and #21 in fantasy and futuristic romance. Yay, AU!

In the UK store, there’s an interesting variation. The book is lower overall in the store, but doing better on the subgenre lists. Kiss of Fate is #912 overall in the store, #11 in paranormal romance, #17 in fantasy romance for Kindle and #32 for fantasy romance overall.

At Nook, Kiss of Fate is sitting at #26 in top ebooks, which is pretty good.

At KOBO, Erik and Eileen rocked to the top of the charts. Kiss of Fate is #1 in contemporary Science Fiction & Fantasy, #2 in Paranormal romance and #3 in romantic science fiction and fantasy. Yay, KOBO!

Kiss of Fate at #1 on in contemporary science fiction and fantasy, and #2 in paranormal romance at KOBO on December 28.

Finally, at Apple, Kiss of Fate is at #42 on the Romance list, which works for me.

Kiss of Fate, #3 of the Dragonfire Novels, a series of paranormal romances by Deborah Cooke

One foretold love deserves a second chance…

Haunted by dreams of a lover who takes the form of a mythical dragon, Eileen Grosvenor searches for the truth. She never expects to find a real dragon shape shifter, let alone one who awakens her passion and ignites memories of her own forgotten past.

Erik Sorensson is focused on leading the Pyr to triumph over the Slayers, even if it costs him his life. When an ancient relic that can turn the tide of the battle reveals itself, Erik knows he has to retrieve it from Eileen’s possession. But when he tries to do so, he’s shocked by an incredible firestorm that compels him to confront the truth about Eileen’s identity. Her presence reminds him of mistakes he’s determined not to repeat, and Erik is forced to make a choice: duty or love.

Only by unlocking the secrets of the past can Erik and Eileen fulfill the final prophecy of the Pyr. Can they face their deepest fears and claim their destined love in time to defeat the Slayers?

Just Home for the Holidays, a Christmas romance novella and #7 in the Flatiron Five series of contemporary romances by Deborah Cooke

Chloe has plans…

Running the finances at Flatiron Five Fitness West is steadily making her goal of financial independence come true. Returning to New York for Christmas should be routine, but her mom starts matchmaking—and Chloe needs a plus-one fast. When Hunter volunteers, Chloe decides he’s the perfect choice—she’ll never get emotionally involved with a guy who doesn’t worry about tomorrow. It doesn’t hurt that he’s hot, or that he kisses like he invented it—but when Chloe discovers that Hunter hates Christmas, she needs to know why. How much will she surrender to unlock his secrets? And how will she keep herself from falling in love once she does?

Hunter lives in the moment…

He’s learned the hard way that tomorrow might never come and is determined to make every day count. The problem is Christmas—he needs a major distraction to keep his memories at bay. A fake date to a fancy charity event with his gorgeous co-worker, Chloe, is definitely out of the ordinary for him, but Hunter loves a challenge. What could be a better one than breaking every one of Chloe’s rules? It’s all fun until Chloe decides to help Hunter put the past behind him—when she demands more than a fling, can Hunter learn to believe in the future again?

Five stars!
This is the most absolutely perfect story. I loved everything about this story, I couldn’t put it down. It was like a movie was playing in my head. It wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t too Hallmark-y, it was just…..perfect.

Five Stars!
Flatiron Fitness is always fun to return to and this time around we have a guy who lives in the moment, has deep scars, and doesn’t want any sort of commitment, oh, and hates Christmas. We also have Chloe who likes and lives by her plans, doesn’t like surprises, and needs a fake date ASAP while in town for the Holidays so her mom doesn’t try to set her up with her ex. Enter Hunter who, until now, has never noticed her because she hid behind her conservative clothes and glasses, but she has gone through a change and he likes that change. I enjoyed their story and how he got more than he expected or wanted because Chloe decides that he is worth more than a one-night stand. I enjoyed how it evolved and the ending was sweet and romantic. Loved it.

Rendezvous with a Romance

Just Home for the Holidays is also available in mass market paperback.

Just One Fake Date on the Charts

On Saturday, the first BookBub Featured Deal for Just One Fake Date ran and the results were very satisfying. 🙂 This book hadn’t had a promotion before, and it is currently 99cents at all portals. It’s the new first book in the Flatiron Five Fitness series.

I wasn’t really on top of this on Sunday morning, but grabbed these screen shots later in the day. It’s entirely possible (and likely) that the rankings were higher earlier in the day.

By the time I looked at Amazon, Tyler and Shannyn’s book was at #129 overall in the store, #4 in sports romance and #15 in romantic comedy.

At Barnes & Noble, Just One Fake Date earned a bestseller ribbon (yay!).

It was also #8 overall in the store when I looked (although a reader said she’d seen it at #5 earlier in the day.)

At Apple, Tyler and Shannyn’s story was #14 overall in the store when I looked:

It was also included on a carousel for first-in-series bestsellers at Apple – notice that it’s the first one in the listings that’s a paid read, which is cool.

At KOBO, Just One Fake Date was #1 in sports romance, #4 in contemporary romance and #5 in contemporary women.

Just One Fake Date is still 99 cents at the major portals, so if you don’t have your copy yet, grab it today!

Flatiron Five: The First Collection on the Charts!

Flatiron Five: The First Collection, a digital bundle of the first three contemporary romances and romantic comedies in the Flatiron Five series by Deborah Cooke

Yesterday, I had a BookBub Featured Deal for Flatiron Five: The First Collection, a newly released bundle of three contemporary romances. It’s 99 cents now, but will ultimately be $9.99.

A boxed set including the series starter is a great introduction for new readers to a series. Promoting it at a special price (this one is 99 cents until Saturday) is an excellent way to find those new readers, in my experience. There are still three more books in the series available and the series is complete, two more reasons to create and advertise this bundle. And BookBub is the most effective way to promote a sale.

Let’s look at yesterday’s results.

At Amazon, the book rose to #79 paid in the Kindle store as of this morning (it was at #161 by noon yesterday) as well as ranking in the sports and military romance categories. Because this series isn’t in Kindle Unlimited, I didn’t have high hopes for the charts at Amazon. This is a very nice showing – and a lot of units sold at Amazon.

Flatiron Five, the First Collection, a digital bundle of three contemporary romances by Deborah Cooke at #79 overall paid in the Kindle store on January 23, 2020

At Kobo, the bundle was at #2 in Contemporary Romance last night, as well as #1 in Sports Romance.

Flatiron Five, the First Collection, a digital bundle of three contemporary romances by Deborah Cooke at #1 in Sports Romance and #2 in Contemporary Romance in the Kobo store on January 22, 2020

At Nook, the bundle rose to #7 overall paid, and #2 in Romance, a lovely surprise.

Flatiron Five, the First Collection, a digital bundle of three contemporary romances by Deborah Cooke at #7 overall paid in the Nook store on January 22, 2020

I was most excited about the results at Apple. This series sells very well at Apple, so I was hoping to find more readers there. Last night, the F5 bundle was #3 overall in the Apple bookstore, which is fabulous.
Flatiron Five, the First Collection, a digital bundle of three contemporary romances by Deborah Cooke, at #3 overall in the Apple store on January 22, 2020

This morning, it had dropped to #4 overall, but was #2 in the Romance category. (Now I’m wondering if it was #1 in Romance last night. I should have looked!) Flatiron Five, the First Collection, a digital bundle of three contemporary romances by Deborah Cooke, at #2 in Romance in the Apple store on January 23, 2020

I didn’t take a screen shot of it, but Going to the Chapel, the short story in the Flatiron Five series was sitting at #145 paid in the Apple store last night, proof that Apple readers are already continuing with the series.
