The Beauty Bride, #1 of the Jewels of Kinfairlie series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix is also available in audioMore cherished than gold are the Jewels of Kinfairlie, and only the worthiest may fight for their love…The Laird of Kinfairlie has unmarried sisters, each a gem in her own right. And he has no choice but to see them all wed in haste.

Lady Madeline’s heart is not for sale…especially not to a notorious outlaw like Rhys FitzHenry. Yet Madeline’s hand has been sold, to none other than this battle-weary warrior with a price on his head. A more dutiful maiden might cede to the Laird’s command and meekly accept her fate, but Madeline has never been obedient. She decides to run away, though she never dreams that Rhys will pursue her.

She does not expect this taciturn man to woo her with fanciful stories, much less that each of his enthralling tales will reveal a scar upon his shielded soul. She never imagines that a man like Rhys could imperil her own heart while revealing so little of his own feelings. When Rhys’ past threatens his future, Madeline takes a leap of faith. She dares to believe him innocent—and risks her own life to pursue a passion more priceless than the rarest gem.

“A lyrical medieval-era romance!”—Publishers Weekly

Review for The Snow White Bride in Audio

The Snow White Bride, a medieval romance by Claire DelacroixThere were some new reviews posted last week for my medieval romances in audio, so it’s past time that I share them with you here.

First up, Debbie posted a showcase on the series along with her review of The Snow White Bride on her blog. Here’s part of her review:

“Claire Delacroix beautifully continues the Jewels of Kinfairlie series with the recent named Laird of Kinfairlie’s love story. Featuring lies, deception, deceit and subterfuge she magically takes me back into the far past with a narrative and dialogue that hints of the Highlands, with characters so richly developed they have no trouble appearing in my mind’s eye and backdrops so period perfect I can almost smell the strewing herbs placed on the floor of the keep and the sweet savory scent of the majestic steeds in their stables. Her stars are quite the star-crossed medieval couple and with bated breath and nail-biting trepidation I continually waited for the inevitable doomed other shoe to fall and was pleasantly rewarded for all my anxiety. The Snow White Bride is book three in the Jewels of Kinfairlie series was first published in 2005, re-released in 2012 and available in audible June-2015.

The audible edition is narrated by the mesmerizing lyrical voice of the sensational Saskia Maarleveld whose vocal range perfectly portrayed each and every character from impish young women and children to old men, old crones, adult male warriors and dastardly foes. And her familiarity of Claire’s tales and characters only increases the brilliance of her narrations.

FIVE STAR Review for SWB in Audio

The Snow White Bride, a medieval romance by Claire DelacroixWoo HOO! There’s a new review for The Snow White Bride in audio at Books, Chocolate and Lip Gloss, and it’s fabulous.

Here’s a snippet:
The Snow White Bride is an engaging, heart gripping, and memorable novel about love, romance, trust, and sacrifice.  The writing is outstanding, the dialogue witty and clever, and the characters have a grace and depth that makes them seem to leap from the pages as real people that will astound and engage the reader.

I listened to the audio version narrated by Saskia Maarleveld who did an outstanding job.  The narration was clear, crisp, and added character to the novel.  The Snow White Bride is a novel one can get lost in and the narration plays like a movie in the mind of the reader or like the telling of a favorite tale.  It’s a must read/listen to novel and delights from start to finish.”

The rating is FIVE STARS! Here’s the link to the whole review.

Remember that you can listen to samples of the audio editions of all of my books on my Audio page. Also, check back at the beginning of the month – I’m going to do an August Audio promotion and you’ll want to participate!

Another Review for The Rose Red Bride in Audio

The Rose Red Bride, a medieval romance by Claire DelacroixEileen has posted another wonderful review for my audiobooks – this one’s for The Rose Red Bride. Here’s a snippet: “With eloquence, wry humor and gems of wisdom strewn at my feet this story unfolds in the velvety voice of narrator Sassia Maarleveld. The combination of voice and eloquent dialog was more than a listen. It was an experience! I’m captivated with the story, this part of me which loves fae lore, fairy tales and an undying sense of honor where word means truth.”

Thanks Eileen!
