She dreads the return to routine and her inevitable marriage to a reliable man, so convinces the warrior Duncan to make merry with her while their respective masters linger in Paris. Dancing and singing are not the sole revels in Radegunde’s plans, for she means to taste passion with this man who snared her attention in Venice. Duncan is convinced his own heart is lost forever, but Radegunde’s allure cannot be denied. When he surrenders to her seduction, Duncan suggests a handfast, knowing that even this honor is far less than she deserves. Or will their paths part forever, and do as much too soon?

A New Review for The Scoundrel

The Scoundrel, book #2 in the Rogues of Ravensmuir trilogy of Scottish medieval romances by Claire DelacroixThe Book Review blog posted a new review yesterday for The Scoundrel, my action-adventure medieval romance which is #2 of the Rogues of Ravensmuir trilogy. Here’s a good bit:

“Medieval is one of my very favorite historical romance sub-genres, and I have been in the right mood to immerse myself in ancient times that are filled with danger and intrigue.

Although this story is fraught with intrigue and danger, there was a slightly comical tone mixed in, especially with Gawain and Evangeline, who engage in some delightful banter, while attempting to outwit each other.

It was like a medieval-style caper, which was a lot of fun. There is loads of action and adventure, and the love story is quite unique, with Gawain and Evangeline always at odds, but unable to imagine living without each other, even if they don’t want to admit it.

The Rogue, book #1 of the Rogues of Ravensmuir trilogy of Scottish medieval romances by Claire DelacroixGawain is a very tough nut to crack and I did wonder about his character, as he did a pretty good job of convincing me he was a rogue all the way to the core. But, of course, it’s plain to see that Evangeline holds his heart in her hands, right from the very beginning.”

You can read the whole review on The Book Review blog, right here.

Remember that The Rogue, book #1 of the Rogues of Ravensmuir trilogy, is on sale for 99 cents right now at most portals.
