June Book Giveaway

Last month’s prize book was a signed print copy of Wyvern’s Mate, the first book in my Dragons of Incendium series of paranormal romances. Congratulations to Leasa Gowitt who won the copy of Wyvern’s Mate.

Simply Irresistible, a contemporary romance by Deborah Cooke and first in the Flatiron Five series. This month, I’m celebrating the publication of Addicted to Love, by giving away a signed print copy of Simply Irresistible. Simply Irresistible is a contemporary romance and the first book in my Flatiron Five series. (Addicted to Love is the second.)

In Addicted to Love, Lauren and Kyle have a discussion about love at first sight. She says she believes in it and he says he doesn’t. I think it’s an interesting question.

For your chance to win this month’s signed print book, please comment on this post and tell me whether you believe in love at first sight and why. The contest is open to readers in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. I’ll pick a winner at the end of the month.

Good luck!

Edited to add: congratulations to Kate, this month’s winner!

Edited to add: I put the WRONG LINK in the July newsletter! Sorry! =8-o This contest is closed – try this link.

  1. Do not enter me!
I do believe in love at first sight, never happened to me in real life though.
In the book world, it was love at first sight when I saw Ty’s cover and after reading his story even more so *sigh*

  2. While I love to read about love at first sight, I don’t believe in it IRL. I agree that it’s lust at first sight, and it can develop into love as you get to know the other person.

  3. I used to believe in love at first sight, but now I think it takes time for real love to grow. I still love to read about love at first sight though!

  4. I think I do believe in love at first sight. There is just that special “something” you feel when you see/meet that person for the first time. Sure, it might start out slowly at first and feel like chemistry and just physical attraction , but that’s how it starts and grows from there. It’s not always as strong as what we read about in a book, but we sure love to fantasize about it happening.

  6. I have felt that thump inside when meeting someone, but don’t think it was love at first sight: the love develops quite quickly after that though.

  7. Congrats Leasa!! I do believe in Love at First site. But only in books, never in real life. At least not that it has ever happened to anyone that I know.

  8. I definitely believe in love at first sight. That happened to my husband and I. We would have been married 43 years in November, if he had lived.

  9. No, honestly I don’t believe in love at first sight. Maybe lust at first sight. I think being in love is a slow process and worth the wait. Thank you

  11. To an extent, I believe in love at first sight. Attraction, lust, interest, can all combined to give you a strong feeling of possible love. I believe it grows from there with future contact.

  12. I believe love at first sight. There is someone out there for everybody. It is a question of finding that person. When we find that person, we will know.

  13. I believe in attraction at first sight, but I don’t really believe that real love can occur without knowledge and understanding of a person. But, boy, that initial attraction can sure leave me tongue-tied. The fact, though, that I have a definite type, and that attraction occurs whenever I see someone embodying that type, tells me that it’s not love.

  14. I believe that the fates step in on occasion. I moved in with my now husband after knowing him for 3 days. He asked me to marry him after 3 months ( it could have been 3 weeks and I would have said yes!). Just celebrated 18 years married this past May. Did we LOVE at first sight? Perhaps not, but we saw our future in each other on first sight 😉

  17. Personally, I believe in attraction at first sight, but I think that love takes longer to develop. But instant attraction that leads to love? I am a total believer in that! 🙂

  18. I do believe in love at first sight. It happened to both my husband and me – might have been tragic if only one of us fell. We’ve been together 26 years now.

  19. I think love at first sight is possible, but very rare! I think it really takes a while to get to know each other and allow love to grow. You may think when you see someone that he/she is the one you will marry, but I don’t think it happens all that often.
