Many of you have commented that giveaways are always for digital books, and that you’d like to win signed print books for your keeper shelf. Because of your comments, I’ve decided to add a new monthly contest for (surprise!) signed print copies of my books. Each month, I’ll feature a title. December’s featured title is The Crusader’s Handfast, a choice that seems apt as Duncan and Radegunde’s story is a May-December romance. It’s also a medieval romance, with action, adventure and intrigue, which begins in Paris and ends in Scotland. The Crusader’s Handfast was originally published in installments, but the complete story is now available in a single volume, in both digital and print editions. You can read the first installment free now – both the EPUB and the MOBI are available for free download from my online store.

I had the chance to meet Saor Patrol and as soon as they started talking I almost melted, LOL! Great bunch of guys doing what they love for a great cause. The Clanranald Trust has built a medieval village and does so many things to raise awareness and keep Scotland’s history going. I guess you could call them my modern day Scottish heroes.
As for the ones in the stories, their strength, honor, and pride for their country and people are what attract me to them.

I bought The Crusader’s Handfast but would like to split it back into the 6 parts so I can read the series with no spoilers (per the recommendation on the site). Where can I find which chapter started each part. Thanks again, and looking forward to The Crusader’s Vow.

Hmm. That’s an interesting question, Leanne. We took out the six breaks in the complete book, but I can look in my files for you here. There also was a mistake in the installments – I called two chapters Chapter Seven and didn’t realize it. We fixed that in the complete book.
Part One included Chapter One, Two, and Three.
Part Two included Chapter Four, Five, Six, and Seven.
Part Three included Chapter Eight, Nine, and Ten. (They were misnumbered as Seven, Eight and Nine in the installment.)
Part Four included Chapter Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen.
Part Five included Chapter Fourteen, Fifteen, Sixteen, and Seventeen.
Part Six included Chapter Eighteen, Nineteen, Twenty, Twenty-One, Twenty-Two, Twenty-Three, and Twenty-Four.
Because of that duplicated chapter number, the installments come out to twenty-three chapters but the book comes out to twenty-four. The book is the same length, though.

Thank you so much for looking up the Crusader’s Handfast breakout. I’ve been reading your books since the beginning but gave up my 3000+ books when I moved and downsized. I’ve slowing been replacing them in ebook format and when I discovered you also wrote as Cooke, I started all the dragon books. You’ve given me many hours of reading pleasure! Happy New Year and looking forward to your 2017 releases.
