Reviewers’ Contest – May

I’m borrowing this idea from some other indie writers, and am hoping it works. We might have to tweak it for next month.

The idea behind this is that posted reviews for books are good. As authors it’s good to encourage people to post reviews, if they liked the book. Also, everyone likes prezzies and people who like books enough to review them, often like to have more books. So, the notion is this: each month I’ll draw from a list of reviewers who have posted reviews of my books and give away a book as a prize.

Okay, the fine print.

There will be a new post for this contest each month, posted on the first of the month. On the last day of the month, it will be closed for comments.

What you need to do to enter:

1. Read one of my books and like it. 🙂
2. Write a review of the book and post it online – you can do that at Amazon, Barnes&Noble, AllRomanceEbooks, Smashwords, Sony, KOBO, Apple and/or Goodreads. (If I missed a place where you can post reviews, let me know!)
3. Add a comment to this post, saying which book you reviewed. Your comment will be your contest entry.

N.B. Your email address will not be displayed to the world, just to me, and it needs to be right if I’m going to be able to contact you. Also, if you add a link to the book page in question, your comment will go to moderation. Your comment won’t appear immediately, but will be waiting on me. Once I approve it, it’ll be there for all to see. All comments with links go to moderation on this blog.

Please only enter once for each review. If you review multiple books in a month, you are welcome to enter multiple times. Because the prizes are physical books this time (we’ll see how that works out) contest entry for this month is restricted to residents of the US and Canada.

The Prizes

The winner can choose a print book from the following list of my books – I’ll sign it and mail it to the winner. (I’m debating whether to say what the prize is or let the winner choose. We’ll go with choice this month and see how that works out.) I do have some gaps in my collection, so here’s are the choices:

Claire Cross/Delacroix time travels – new trade paperback editions.

Bride Quest I (PRINCESS, DAMSEL, HEIRESS) – mass market copies of TD and TH only.

Bride Quest II (COUNTESS, BEAUTY, TEMPTRESS) – new trade paperback editions.

Rogues of Ravensmuir – new trade paperback editions. I have WARRIOR in mass market, too.

Jewels of Kinfairlie – new trade paperback editions. I have BEAUTY BRIDE in mass market, too.

The Prometheus Project – mass market paperback of GUARDIAN and REBEL.

Dragonfire – I have all titles in mass market,
EXCEPT I have no way to give away the digital short story “Harmonia’s Kiss”.

The Dragon Diaries – trade paperback edition, and UK trade of the first two titles.

The Coxwells – the first two in trade paperback.

Of course, if you want something in French, Spanish or German, that’s a whole ‘nuther list!

So, let’s see how it goes! If there are lots of entries, I can add more prizes.

Good luck, everyone!

Edited to add – a few more review locations. Someone posted a lovely review for THE TEMPTRESS at Smashwords today, for example, and I didn’t even realize that was possible. All posted reviews are good!

Edited to add – comments are now closed on this post because I’ve chosen a winner. Congratulations to Angela Sanders! Angela, please have a look in your inbox for a message from me, and let me know which book you’d like as your prize.

And now, on to the June contest!

  1. I posted a comment on The Beauty Bride. I got it free from amazon then purchased the rest in the series. School is about to be out so it might take more than a day or two to finish each of the other boos but I am really looking forwart to it. Thank you

    • Thanks Angela –

Glad you enjoyed Madeline and Rhys’ story – and the odds are in your favour this month. Everyone who has posted a review has been shy about entering the contest (so far). Good luck!

  2. Hi. I left feedback on my Goodreads account for Beauty Bride. Would love to read more of your work as this is the first book of yours I have read. I see that you have written a YA series sounds good. I would like to be entered. Thanks for the giveaway.

  3. I reviewed The Beauty Bride on Amazon as RJYHGHA. I have read 3 Bride Quest2, and then finished out this series after getting The Beauty Bride for free, thanks!
