The Writers Vineyard blog is doing a seasonal promotion, featuring scenes from books with a winter or holiday theme. They invited me to participate ages ago and I did but pretty much forgot about it. I only just checked the schedule and discovered that today is the day that they posted the excerpt from KISS OF FATE!

Timing, as they say, is everything.

Now, there’s snow in this scene, so it counts as “winter”. There are dragons, too. But no hohoho or holly or eggnog. This is as close as I could get to festive with a current release.

This is a different excerpt than the one in the book – otherwise, it would be no fun, right?
