BLAZING THE TRAIL contest

This morning, I received copies of Zoë’s third book, BLAZING THE TRAIL, which comes out in June. You can read about this third book in the Dragon Diaries trilogy right here. The finished book looks great!

So, of course, I thought we should have a contest. Add a comment to this post, telling me why you want to read BLAZING THE TRAIL as soon as possible. I’ll pick a winner on Monday. Don’t forget to make sure you leave a valid email address – only I will be able to see it.

Good luck!

  1. Well, because my Deborah Cooke/Claire Delacroix TBR list isn’t quite long enough yet.

But seriously, I’m a fan of the Dragonfire series so Zoe’s story is a natural extension of that. And she’s a cool character.

  2. I have read all the Dragonfire series as well as Zoe’s books. I love your writing style and can hardly wait until you publish your next book in whatever series!!

  3. Its almost like an addiction… gotta have it! Cant get enough of your books, and cant put them down when i start one….

  4. Because you are such an awesome writer and I cannot WAIT to read anything you write!!!!!!

  5. Winning would be fantastic, I love your books and adore how you make dragons seem so alive! Holding thumbs & toes *lol*

  6. I so hope this contest is opened internationally as I’m situated in South Africa !

    • I didn’t put any restrictions on location, Rita, so the winner can be anywhere. :-)

And btw, every 25 entries, I’ll add another prize copy. We’re at 16 now, so tell your friends!

  7. I love all of your other books and would love to add this one to my collection. I also appreciate all the hard work you do that goes into writing such great stories. Thank You for many enjoyable days of reading.

  8. Honest, I would love to have a copy of the book sooner then June. My husband has thyroid cancer and will be going into surgery this month. After surgery he will be going into therapy for couple of weeks and because of his treatment, we won’t be able to spend much time together. It would be nice to have something to read while he is in the hospital and would be able to have some escape from the real world for a bit. Like everyone else said above, your books are amazing and fun to read. Even if I don’t get it, I will continue reading your stories.

  9. I finally managed to get winging it and woul like to read them one right after the other. It will help pass the time while house sitting. thanks

  10. Because a cover that lovely should be viewed up close, as soon as possible :) Thanks so much for sharing either way–how exciting that this is almost out!

  11. I would love to have this book to read during the recovery of my upcoming knee surgury. I wont’ be able to get up and go anywhere, or do anything so reading great books like this will help me pass the time. I love the series, and her great author voice.

  12. Can’t wait to dive right back in! Reading a series is like catching up with an old friend…. you can pick up right where you left off.

  13. Not sure where to begin. I found the second book of the dragonfire novels by accident during my illness. Read it Loved it and of course immediately went to Amazon.com to find the first book. I have read and own every single one thus far and have even got my mom and sister loving them as well. These books have seen me through some very dark hours and I look forward to every new read. I count the days until I receive my brand new book from both series. I just cannot wait to read more about Zoe she has helped me find strength that I didn’t even know i had. Thank you for these wonderful books. I don’t know what I would do without them. :)

  14. Both my husband and I have read the first two books, and we HAVE TO find out what happens next!

  15. Hai♥

I received Flying Blind and Winging It as my birthday present last month and I have to say both books were awesome. I truly enjoy Zoe’s personalities and how each character were so easy to be love and hate and it’s hard to imagine that they were all teen or young adults. Both books were witty and definitely kickass. I adored heroine that stand up for herself instead of being damsel in distress.

Blazing the Trail – I take it would be the final conclusion of the series as the Dragon Diaries is a trilogy? That would be awesome and disappointing as I really love the series. And in Blazing the Trail – ugh, I think you’re evil to leave such a short peek of the book. I can’t wait to see who Zoe would choose – Jared or Derek and what adventure – trouble – that she will go through. I wanted to indulge more of her dragon and salamander action just as much as the previous books and definitely can’t wait to have my hands on it.

  16. i would love to win.. a) because i love your stories, and b) to find out what happens next!!

  17. You KNOW why i want to read it, I desperately want to know how the trilogy ends and to make a matched set of reviews at FF (but I understand if someone else wins, sharing the joy is a good thing :-} )
I also have hopes that the trilogy is just a sub-set of a longer series… I hate to see a great story end!
